My friend Diane was there from the beginning. She helped me whelp my first litter of Manchesters which was fun for her as she raises and shows Golden Retrievers. "They're so small!" was what I remember hearing! Then of course her two young daughters couldn't wait to play with them when they got old enough! Great Socialization, Right? Well, too much time with these little heart stealers lead to "Maybe we'd like a Manchester"! So that is how Fernando came to live with the Ryan, Diane, Ashley & Brittney Kirk. At Fernando's first shows at the tender young age of 6 months, Fernando went Breed over Specials for a 5 point major! I'll never forget the look on Diane's face! She about died! The Golden ring is very tough with lots of handlers, so this was a great experience for her! Her oldest daughter, Ashley has also shown Fernando in the Breed Ring and has done a very good job. They are so good in the ring together! I can honestly say this was a match made in Heaven!
